U14 Girls     Essex Cup

Match Reports

Saturday 12th October  v ESSEX  (A)    SEESFA League fixture

The first league fixture took the U14 team to Essex this weekend. A fixture which always proves to be a challenging game, especially with a wet and windy Saturday morning at Shrubs End.

A fantastic start to the first half saw good possession between both sides, with Herts linking well together in midfield to attack the Essex goal. Both teams had some brilliant football in the first half with Essex leading 3-0.

The Herts girls started the second half stong with some lovely play out from the back and midfield working hard to attack with the forwards towards the Essex goal. Herts long awaited goal came from R.Alexander with a ball over the top of the Essex defence. Rosie using her speed and strength to beat off Essex defence and the keeper. An excellent game for both teams and Herts unfortunate to come away with a defeat.

Next month brings the girls first cup game, with a big improvement from the first game, we look forward to another exciting game and hopefully the first win of the season.
